Refugee Project Update

Update on the Deanery Refugee Project:

Donations to date total over $44,000.

Forty-two individuals have donated to the fund.

Ten churches have contributed: Church of the Advent (Sherbrooke); St. Anne’s (Richmond); St. Augustine (Danville); St. Barnabas (North Hatley); St George’s (Ayer’s Cliff); St. George’s (Georgeville); St. George’s (Lennoxville); St. Luke’s (Magog); St. Paul’s (Bury); St. Stephen’s (Coaticook)

Special fundraising events include: The Gospel Hour held at St Augustine’s Church in Danville, 3 community soup lunches held at St George’s Church in Lennoxville, the polar bear swim held concurrently in North Hatley and Victoria, BC, and the Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner evening in North Hatley. (Please note that some donations may not have been processed so might be missing from this list.)

A number of people are knitting or crocheting hats for the 25,000 Tuques Project.

The Deanery Ministry Committee extend sincere thanks everyone who has contributed towards this project. We greatly appreciate your generosity.
