Thank you to Paul Caron for providing beautiful music for us this morning during our service of Morning Prayer lead by The Ven. Richard Salt and Lay Reader Kathy Stafford. Kathy’s sermon was uplifting and full of hope on this first Sunday after Ascension Day that is also Mother’s Day.
Fund Raising for Ft. McMurray
At the start of the service, Cathy Salt, Incumbent’s Warden, spoke about a special fund-raising effort for the people of Fort McMurray. Please stay tuned. If you are thinking of giving or even if you have given a gift, St. Barnabas is reaching out and will match dollar for dollar every gift given to the fund for the community of Fort McMurray through St. Barnabas Church and every dollar will also be matched by the Federal Government. Our prayers are with those who have been evacuated and have lost their homes and seen their community devastated.
